Part I: Professional & Management Liability Fundamentals

Completion of the Professional and Management Liability Part 1 continuing education curriculum will provide risk and insurance practitioners with an outstanding base level of knowledge for selling, buying, or arranging all types of professional, errors and omissions, or management liability policies. Successful completion of the three Part 1 courses is a required prerequisite of the MLIS program and must be achieved before taking any of the Part 2 management liability courses. When you complete this CE curriculum, you will receive a certificate suitable for framing to demonstrate that you have mastered the fundamentals of professional liability insurance.

The three fundamentals courses describe the errors and omissions and professional liability exposures faced by professionals, nonprofessionals, businesses, and executives; discuss the overall approach to granting and limiting coverage in management, professional, and E&O policies; and provide a working knowledge of how claims-made triggers operate, including how to avoid costly mistakes when renewing or replacing a claims-made policy.

These three courses must be completed before purchasing the four management liability Part 2 continuing education courses.
