Welcome to the MLIS® Learning Center!
The Management Liability Insurance Specialist (MLIS) program is a continuing education (CE) curriculum that provides an excellent base level of knowledge of professional liability insurance fundamentals and an in-depth understanding of management liability exposures and insurance coverage (sometimes called "executive liability insurance"). The program focuses on elements common to all types of professional and management liability insurance, such as claims-made coverage triggers, and then addresses the specifics of directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, and fiduciary liability exposures and insurance. Those who complete the three prerequisite professional liability courses receive a “Fundamentals of Professional Liability Insurance” certificate suitable for framing. Those who then complete the four management liability courses earn the MLIS certification. The MLIS certification mark may then be displayed behind your name to declare your knowledge of management liability as well as your dedication to professionalism. MLIS courses are approved for insurance agent or broker CE credit in most states.
